The Trailblazers

With a blue-collar work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit, we deliver better results at a better value than our competitors. We don’t do it to be cool or trendy — we do what works. And even though we have been around since 1959, we behave more like a start-up. We are a DISRUPTIVE breed of smart, over-caffeinated and results-obsessed visionaries, ideators, storytellers, technologists, software programmers, researchers, analysts, creatives, media mavens, social gurus and artists who are all hell-bent on:

Developing and executing revolutionary business-building ideas that help our clients grow.

Leadership

Scott Brandon

Chief Executive Officer

With the mind of an entrepreneur and a heart for innovation, Scott has grown The Brandon Agency into a Southeastern powerhouse with over 100 employees in four offices across the U.S. As a highly sought-after strategist and business-minded visionary, he has helped develop and grow brands such as YETI Coolers, Southern Tide, CresCom Bank, Williams Knife Co. and Fish Hippie. Always on the forefront of technology, Scott was the first to develop opt-in email database capture strategies using customer relationship management tools for stronger capture rates on conversions. Although he has an endless passion for marketing, Scott is happiest when he is outdoors hunting and fishing with his family.

Tyler Easterling

President & COO

An impassioned president with insightful account-management skills, Tyler learned to grow brands during her years working on such prestigious accounts as Celebrity Cruises, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Orient-Express Hotels and Seabrook Island Realty, where she developed a marketing plan that increased sales to $50 million in one year. With the sensibility of businessperson, the foresight of a visionary and the tenacity of a true leader, Tyler is continuously applauded by clients and agency members alike for her ability to “get things done.” Besides her many work accolades, Tyler counts her family as her biggest blessing and largest inspiration.

Shelby Greene Selner

VP/Media Director

From developing strategic marketing plans to aggressively negotiating media buys, Shelby works fast and furious to show an ROI for clients. She maintains a full plate as vice president and media director, but her Midwest work ethic is deep-rooted. Her portfolio is proof of that, with over 20 years of strategy creation on both sides of the table — client and agency — for brands such as Santee Cooper, hhgregg, Subway and Daytona Beach CVB.

Andy Kovan

VP/Director of Strategy and Research

As account planning and brand development director, Andy mostly works in covert ops — researching, gathering insights and studying audiences before he passes the info along to his clients or colleagues to develop the most effective brand. It’s what he’s accomplished for clients like Costa Del Mar, Williams Knife Co., YETI Coolers, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, Fish Hippie and Southern Tide. Armed with a master’s degree in cultural sustainability, this Texan isn’t afraid to think big.

Nick McNeill

Interactive Director

Nick uses his talents in computer science and graphic design to grow the online presence of brands such as Santee Cooper, Southern Tide, frogg toggs, Farmers Telephone Cooperative and Blue Force Gear. A serial marathon runner, his steely determination shines through every brand he grows. As lead user interface designer of the GuestDesk software suite for online hotel reservations, he watched it explode from $1 million in reservations to over $400 million annually.

Barry Sanders

New Business Director

We seek clients who want to grow and are willing to take risks, and Barry plays a crucial role in that process. Prior to his 17 years with TBA, Barry worked as a senior account manager and refined his real estate chops by leading the Cliffs Communities account. Today, he fuels his work with the insights, nuances and successes he attained in principal roles with brands like Titleist, FootJoy Worldwide and South Carolina Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Jonathan Williams

Creative Director

A North Carolina native and surfing enthusiast, Jonathan earned a BFA from UNC Wilmington before riding his way into nearly 20 years of experience on the creative side of the marketing industry in Durham and Wilmington, where he made waves for clients the likes of Reeds Jewelers, Audi, Sony and Travelocity. When not working his creative magic at our Myrtle Beach office, Jonathan can be found hanging out at the beach, cooking in the kitchen, or simply relaxing at home with his wife, 12-year-old son, 10-year-old daughter, black cat and Walker Coonhound.

Todd Fuller

President of TBA Outdoors

Todd took the helm at TBA Outdoors in 2016 after several years of sales and marketing success in the outdoor and destination travel industry. As Director of Sales & Marketing for Hell's Bay Boatworks, he was widely credited with turning the shallow-water skiff maker into one of the most prestigious names in the fishing industry. He has led multiple brand partnerships with companies such as Costa Del Mar, Simms Fishing Products, YETI Coolers and Raymarine. As an avid outdoorsmen, Todd is immersed in the lifestyle and brings an authentic perspective that drives brand strategy as well as real world results. Todd calls Orlando, FL home with his wife and two kids.

Cary Murphy

Charlotte Regional President & Content Director

Equipped with a BFA from Kendall College of Art and Design and experience earned as visual communications manager at John Deere, Cary struck out to carve his own path. Over the next 25 years, he built one of Charlotte’s most respected and sought-after design agencies from the ground up. Don’t let his laid-back nature fool you — this business-minded creative has worked tirelessly to help grow brands such as General Electric, Rubbermaid, Snyder’s-Lance and Mountain Khakis.

Jan Suchanek

CFO

There are many things to love about Jan, but one of the most heartwarming is his sense of humor. Hailing all the way from Prague in the Czech Republic, the recently naturalized U.S. citizen holds a BS in IT systems from the University of Economics, Prague and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining The Brandon Agency in 2015, he held posts as a CPA and a financial controller.

Shawn Murray

IT Director

A native of Bath, New York, Shawn joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1992 and served as a computer and networking specialist in Hawaii. After his service, Shawn’s work took him to San Diego and then to Boston. He then traded snowstorms for Myrtle Beach sunshine, where he worked as a systems analyst for Brittain Resorts & Hotels. With over 25 years of experience in his back pocket, The Brandon Agency’s internal network, IT equipment, and user domains are in good hands.
